Summary edit ]

In the early 19th century, there were about 5,000 Russian Koreans in the Russian Empire . In 1917, the Russian empire was destroyed and Soviet Russia was established. Some of the Koreans also joined the Soviet Communist Party or the Soviet Red Army . After the end of World War II, they returned to North Korea and joined the Workers' Party of Korea and the government. These people later formed a faction for the Soviet Union.
In 1952, North Korea’s supreme leader, Kim Il Sung, believed that the Soviet faction threatened him and declared Xu Geyi betraying the country and expelled him from his party membership and duties. The latter then committed suicide . In 1956, Pak Chang-ok Kim Il Sung's policy and because of dissatisfaction with the route and in conjunction with the Yanan faction who tried meeting of the Central Committee to challenge him , but failed [1] . Subsequently, Kim Il Sung counterattacked and sent the Soviets to clear the country on various charges. The Soviet faction thus declined.
